
The Rochester Aces 15U team brought home the championship this past weekend at the Erie Bay cup. In the first game of the tournament the Aces set the tone for the tournament with a statement 9-0 win against Team Columbus. Playing in the same arena that Connor McDavid played in, inspired the boys to a dominant 7-0 performance against Westmoreland. Saturday had only one game on the schedule with a hard fought come from behind 2-1 victory over the North Pittsburgh Wildcats. Going 3-0 in round robin play gave the Aces the #1 seed going into the semifinals against NP Wildcats again. With the semifinals tied going into the 3rd period the Aces scored 2 goals to win 3-1 in another hard fought game against the NP Wildcats. Setting up a showdown with #2 seed Las Vegas Ice Warriors in the championship game and the Aces were ready! Another great team performance secured the trophy with 5-0 victory giving them 26 goals for with only 2 goals against all tournament long. This team was determined all weekend long to be the team that brought home the first Aces trophy in their inaugural season.
